An international arbitration boutique with offices in London and Buenos Aires.

We were founded in 2017 by Jean Paul Dechamps who spent eleven years in the International Arbitration group of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Working in London, Paris and Washington, D.C., Jean Paul was a key part of a team that represented parties in many of the most prominent international disputes of the last decade, helping shape the law and practice of international arbitration.
Dechamps is distinguished from other international firms in the market by the ‘quality and the experience of its team, presented in a cost-efficient boutique format.’

Why Dechamps International Law?
We are dedicated to international arbitration, offering a unique combination of quality, experience and cost-efficiency.
Top quality legal advice and depth of experience. We operate with the standards of the traditional international law firms but without the associated cost. We work with our clients to develop the best strategies for their commercial and investments disputes by applying our deep industry knowledge and our experience of complex substantive and procedural legal issues.
A track record in the leading arbitral fora and before some of the world’s most distinguished arbitrators. Our multilingual team has a history of success in arbitrations under the auspices of the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the arbitration rules of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC), and the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
A value driven proposition. We operate an efficient model which saves our clients money. With few of the conflict issues that restrict larger firms and with the flexibility that allows us to agree bespoke fee structures, we represent a value-driven alternative with no compromise on quality.
Relationships that create value for our clients. Where appropriate, we work in partnership with other lawyers, leading academics and experts across jurisdictions, leveraging our extensive network of contacts to build the optimal team for each dispute. We have established relationships with the leading litigation funders and insurers which allow us to access a range of funding options for our clients.
The new boutique has already excelled for investors in Latin American treaty cases.
